Papua Roots LLC is a business based in Los Angeles, California offering specialty coffee, food products, handcrafted goods, accessories, apparel, artwork, and other products inspired by the culture and heritage of Papua.Throughout these Terms, “Papua Roots,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Papua Roots LLC.
2. Online Store
By purchasing from our website, you confirm that the information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete.We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing or inventory errors, payment problems, or product unavailability.If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded.
3. Products & Availability
We make reasonable efforts to accurately display product descriptions, photographs, colors, sizes, pricing, and availability.Actual colors and appearance may vary depending on your device, screen settings, lighting, and the handmade nature of certain products.Products and quantities are subject to availability and may be changed or discontinued without notice.
4. Handcrafted Products
Many Papua Roots products are handcrafted by Indigenous Papuan artisans.Because handmade products are individually created, variations in color, pattern, texture, dimensions, shape, stitching, materials, and other characteristics may occur.These natural variations contribute to the uniqueness of each product and are not considered defects.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.Applicable taxes, shipping charges, discounts, and other charges will be displayed during checkout when applicable.We reserve the right to correct pricing, description, or other listing errors.Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can be processed.
6. Shipping
Papua Roots currently ships within the United States.Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days.We offer free standard shipping on qualifying orders of $50 or more. Additional terms may apply to promotions or special shipping offers.Delivery dates provided by carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed by Papua Roots.Please see our Shipping & Returns Policy for complete shipping information.
7. Los Angeles Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available in the Los Angeles area when offered during checkout.Customers must wait for confirmation that an order is ready before arriving for pickup. Pickup instructions and location information will be provided separately.
8. Returns & Exchanges
Eligible non-food merchandise may generally be returned within 30 days after delivery, subject to our Shipping & Returns Policy.Returned merchandise must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition.Customers are responsible for return shipping when returning an eligible item because of a change of mind, incorrect size selection, or similar customer preference.If Papua Roots determines that an item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, Papua Roots will cover reasonable return shipping costs.Eligible returns may qualify for a refund, exchange, or store credit.
9. Coffee & Food Products — Final Sale
For food safety and quality reasons, coffee and other food products are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, except where otherwise required by applicable law.If a food product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
10. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Orders
Please report damaged, defective, or incorrect products within 7 days of delivery at:orders@papuaroots.comWe may request photographs of the product, packaging, shipping label, or damage to help us evaluate and resolve the issue.
11. Preorders
Items identified as Preorder are generally final sale.
If you need to cancel or modify a preorder, contact Papua Roots before the item ships. Requests are reviewed individually and cancellation cannot be guaranteed once production, processing, fulfillment, or shipment has begun.
This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
12. Sale & Clearance Items
Products marked Sale, Clearance, or Final Sale are generally final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, except where required by applicable law or when an eligible item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
13. Order Changes & Cancellations
Orders may generally be changed or canceled before shipment.
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to modify or cancel an order.
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled and the applicable return policy will apply.
14. Lost or Missing Packages
If carrier tracking indicates that your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check your delivery area, mailbox, parcel locker, household members, neighbors, or building management.
You should then contact the shipping carrier using your tracking number and request assistance locating the package.
If the package still cannot be located, contact Papua Roots at orders@papuaroots.com.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist with available carrier information or claims. A replacement or refund is not guaranteed when a carrier confirms proper delivery.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, content created or owned by Papua Roots on our website—including the Papua Roots name, logos, original graphics, product photography, written content, artwork, website design elements, and branding—is owned by or licensed to Papua Roots LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publish, commercially exploit, or use our protected content without permission.
Third-party or artisan-created works remain subject to the rights of their respective owners where applicable.
16. Cultural & Artisan Designs
Papua Roots respects the cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, artwork, and craftsmanship represented through the products we offer.
Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of any copyright, design rights, cultural rights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights associated with the product or its design.
Products may not be reproduced or commercially copied merely because a physical product has been purchased.
